Organisation & Regulation ABS&P International Law Firm (“ABS&P”) is the legal services division and trading name of Alexander Byrne Sidhu & Partners SA. ABS&P is registered with the National Registry of Costa Rica under registration number 3-101-814796 and is duly registered with the Costa Rican tax authority for the provision of legal and allied business services. The firm operates under the Commercial Code of Costa Rica and is subject to the regulatory oversight of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Commerce (MEIC). It is also registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority of England & Wales (SRA) under ID No. 8010339 as a law firm that is not subject to SRA regulation. ABS&P is structured to operate as a not-for-profit organisation.
History ABS&P was founded by Dr Andre Alexander, an experienced and qualified English common law lawyer. Since its inception in 2021, ABS&P has challenged conventional thinking and sought to redefine what clients should expect from legal services. The firm has been recognised in legal directories for excellence and as a leading international law firm. Driven by innovation, integrity and an unwavering commitment to justice, ABS&P operates as a full-service law firm dedicated to delivering strategic legal solutions worldwide and consistently exceeding client expectations. In mid-2026, so as to enhance its ability to deliver the most cost-effective legal services to its clients, ABS&P became a 90% virtual international law firm - one of the first of its kind in the world. ABS&P's Lawyers Our lawyers are fully qualified and admitted to practise in the jurisdictions in which they serve. ABS&P’s non-lawyer personnel work under the supervision of qualified lawyers. Our senior lawyers are independent practitioners who are engaged by ABS&P on an ad hoc, contractual basis to undertake specific assignments. At their discretion, they may also participate in ABS&P’s non-financial administrative and professional activities. Where appropriate and necessary, they may work with clients in their capacity as independent practitioners and contract directly with our clients for specific services. To deliver the best possible service to its clients and without compromising it overall case management responsibilities to its clients, ABS&P collaborates worldwide with qualified, jurisdiction-specific lawyers and other legal professionals across all levels of practice. This collaborative model enables ABS&P to combine international legal expertise with relevant local knowledge and jurisdiction-specific support, ensuring that clients have access to the appropriate expertise and resources required to achieve their objectives. Operating Model ABS&P specialises in providing strategic legal advice and litigation support worldwide, operating predominantly on a 90% virtual basis. Its flexible, unbundled service model enables clients to access legal expertise according to their specific needs and, where appropriate, to pursue matters as litigants in person while benefiting from the firm's legal, strategic and procedural support. This approach is designed to provide clients with greater flexibility, accessibility and cost efficiency without compromising the quality of legal support available to them. Pro Bono & Social Justice Through its Thrive Fund, ABS&P supports social justice initiatives and provides grants to clients who would otherwise be unable to afford traditional legal costs. The fund reflects ABS&P’s commitment to improving access to justice and ensuring that financial circumstances do not unnecessarily prevent individuals from obtaining appropriate legal support.
